The main objectives of the Scientific and Technical Council (STC) are:

 - formation, coordination and implementation of scientific, research and scientific and technical activities of the university;

 - participation in the popularization and promotion of the results of scientific and scientific-technical activities, promoting their commercialization;

 - consideration of issues of scientific and (or) scientific-technical, innovative activities, development of proposals for its improvement and making recommendations;

 - assistance in the implementation of priority areas of scientific, scientific-technical and innovative activities;

 - consideration of strategic and current plans for the activities of the university;

 - consideration of issues of interaction with other scientific organizations, higher educational institutions, the scientific community on participation in the formation and implementation of a unified state scientific and technical policy;

 - study and development of proposals for improving scientific and development work at the university;

 - consideration of issues of development of innovative activities of the university;

 - participation in the popularization and promotion of the results of scientific and scientific-technical activities, promoting their commercialization;

 - development of proposals for the effective work of scientific activities of the university and structural divisions;

 - promoting the development of international scientific and scientific-technical cooperation.
